In dem Soloabend mit dem Tänzer Evandro Pedroni beschäftigt sich Éric Trottier mit Identitäten: Mit Gegebenem, Gelerntem, Antrainiertem, mit Stereotypen, Findungsprozessen und mit der Frage nach der Stabilität von Identitäten im Zeitalter von sozialen Medien. 

Als Ausgangspunkt dient Supermann: Superheld und introvertierter Journalist, geboren auf Krypton, Mensch geworden auf der Erde, steht er für die Auseinandersetzung mit verschiedenen Facetten der Identitätsfindung und als Symbol für Doppelidentität.

Für die Lichtgestaltung hat sich  den Multimedia-Künstler Chris Ziegler ins Team geholt, der u.a. mit William Forsythe zusammenarbeitete und beim Kunstfest Weimar die erste Tanzmedien Akademie organisierte. In den letzten zwei Jahren entwickelte er in den USA an der Arizona State University ein Lichtkonzept aus motorisierten LED-Leuchten. Dieses Lichtsystem ermöglicht es nun, immer neue Perspektiven auf die Figur Supermann und das Bühnengeschehen im EinTanzHaus zu schaffen.

Mit „Supermann“ feiert ein weiteres Werk von Éric Trottier Premiere im Eintanzhaus, der Wirkstätte des aus Kanada stammenden Choreographen mit seinem La Trottier Dance . Und wie so oft schon ist ihm und seinem Team aus Spezialisten für Tanz, Musik, Licht und Kostüm ein besonderes Kunstwerk geglückt. Mannheimer Morgen

SUPERMAN (2018)

In the solo evening with the dancer Evandro Pedroni, Éric Trottier deals with identities: With the given, the learned, the trained, with stereotypes, finding processes and with the question of the stability of identities in the age of social media. 

The starting point is Superman: Superhero and introverted journalist, born on Krypton, made human on Earth, he stands for the examination of different facets of identity finding and as a symbol of double identity.

For the lighting design, we brought multimedia artist Chris Ziegler into the team. He has worked with William Forsythe and others, and organized the first Dance Media Academy at the Kunstfest Weimar. In the last two years he has developed a lighting concept of motorized LED lights at Arizona State University in the USA. This lighting system now makes it possible to create ever new perspectives on the figure of Superman and the stage events in the EinTanzHaus.

With "Superman", another work by Éric Trottier is celebrating its premiere in the Eintanzhaus, the place where the Canadian-born choreographer and his La Trottier Dance  work. And as so often before, he and his team of specialists for dance, music, light and costume have succeeded in creating a special work of art. Mannheimer Morgen
