La Trottier Dance
La Trottier Dance etablierte sich in den letzten Jahren weiter in der lokalen und überregionalen Tanzszene in Baden Württemberg. Das Ensemble ist ein Zusammenschluss aus Tänzer*innen, Choreograf*innen, Musiker*innen und Komponist*innen, die gemeinsam neue Produktionen entwickeln und sich in den jeweiligen Produktionen unterstützen. Leiter ist der Tanzregisseur und Choreograf Éric Trottier.
Seit 2020 erhält La Trottier Dance neben der Institutionellen Förderung der Stadt Mannheim eine auf 5 Jahre angelegte Exzellenz-Förderung des Minsteriums für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg.
La Trottier Dance has established itself further in the local and national dance scene in Baden Württemberg in recent years. The ensemble is a union of dancers, choreographers, musicians and composers who together develop new productions and support each other in their respective productions. Initiator is the director and choreographer Éric Trottier.
Since 2020, La Trottier Dance has received, in addition to institutional funding from the City of Mannheim, a 5-year Excellence Grant from the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg.
Eric Trottier stammt aus Québec in Kanada. Er tanzte u.a. für die Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, das Nationaltheater Mannheim, das Tiroler Landestheater, das Theater der Bundesstadt Bonn, das Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg, das National Moravian-Silesian Theatre Ostrava, das Theater im Ballsaal Bonn sowie die Brotfabrik Bonn. Seit 2011 ist er künstlerischer Leiter des La Trottier Dance Collective in Mannheim. Trottier initiierte und konzipierte eine Spielstätte für den freien Tanz in Mannheim, die inzwischen als EinTanzHaus realisiert werden konnte. Seit 2020 erhält La Trottier Dance neben der Institutionellen Förderung der Stadt Mannheim eine auf 5 Jahre angelegte Exzellenz-Förderung des Minsteriums für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg.

Eric Trottier comes from Québec in Canada.
